Der Fliegende Hollander Bayreuth 1939

Here is about 30 minutes of Der Fliegende Hollander broadcast in New York by WJZ via a shortwave link direct from Bayreuth. It is a rare live example of pre-war Bayreuth, only a few weeks before World War II would begin. The principals were all famous Wagnerians in Germany before and during the war.
